CLASS YEAR RANGES FROM 1930 TO 2007
The median year is 1976
One quarter of us are from class year 1965 and earlier
One quarter are class year 1987 and later
68% of us are class of 1970 or later
The decade with the most number of entries is the 70’s
Class years 1968, 1973, 1977, and 1978 are tied for most entries in a specific class year
OUR MEMBERS COME FROM ALL OF THE VARIOUS COLLEGES AT THE UNIVERSITY
Rutgers College has the most number of representatives with 152
Douglass College is in second place with 69
Newark is the third most represented at 33
Livingston has 20, Cook 18, and the School of Engineering 17
Mason Gross and Camden each have 8
The various graduate schools account for 42
PROFESSIONALLY SPEAKING WE HAVE QUITE A VARIETY OF JOBS
Sales/Marketing/Business/Management represent the most popular profession, with nearly 70 entries
Accounting/Finance is next with over 50
The Legal, Medical, Education and Entertainment professions each have nearly 40
The Computer/Engineering field have nearly 30
And 43 of us indicate that we are "retired"!
WE HAVE A WIDE RANGE OF INTERESTS
The most common being sports, specifically golf, biking, skiing, tennis, and hiking
Also popular are music, movies, reading, travel, theater, family, and community
Our highest number in a single major is Economics, followed closely by Business and Political Science
And, we have quite a few scientists among us -- nearly 60 of us indicated a major in one of the sciences or math
WE COVER NINE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COUNTIES
Currently most of us reside in LA County, with a count of 222
Orange County is next most represented at 89
Ventura County is in third place at 21, followed closely by Riverside at 16 and San Bernardino at 13
We also have several members in each of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Kern Counties
Plus, we have some out of area members from San Diego, Santa Clara, Florida, Oregon, and New Jersey who remain with us in spite
of their long distance.
